SHELL

• PB-SNC2 (Composite structural net with peripheral strap).

• Innovative top: The all-new top is designed for more efficient ventilation, increased flow efficiency at high speeds, a wider range of adjustment for blocking the sun and is more resistant to induced wind, all of which lead to a more comfortable riding experience.
• Handcrafted: it can take up to five years for our experts to earn the right to create an Arai shell. Each shell can take up to 27 steps and it takes approximately 18 man-hours to build an Arai helmet.

SAFETY

• Glancing Off: To minimize impact energy entering the helmet, it is vital that the helmet can glide off a surface. Round and smooth shells help increase the helmet's ability to protect the rider during an impact.
• Double-D buckling system that provides security as well as quick.

INTERNAL

• Facial Contour System (FCS): to provide an even better fit and enhance comfort in the lower jaw, the Facial Contour System (FCS) works with a foam support spring in the cheek pad that compresses and rebounds, providing the necessary support without excessive pressure.
• 5mm ''Peel Away'' Ear cups/Cheek pads and temple cushion: Giving even greater opportunity for the perfect fit and comfort, the cheek pads feature a 5mm layer that is removable for additional space if needed.
• Antimicrobial lining material.
• Replaceable cheek pads/ear capsules/Neckrol: All parts (replaceable or not) can be hand washed with lukewarm water and mild soap.
• Replaceable interior: The complete interior can be easily removed.
• Replaceable chin strap covers.
• Replaceable chin chin chucks: Speaker pockets, offer room for speaker placement without compromising comfort or fit. (Speaker not included).

AIR

The Tour-X5 features a completely new ventilation system with three intake vents and five exhaust vents, the ventilation has been further improved over the previous generation.

• Arai 3D logo duct : the new Arai 3D logo duct (made as thin as possible, with a depth of just 3.5 mm) feeds two central 10 mm intake ports . At just 50km/h it channels an additional 40% airflow, at 120km/h 7% compared to without. It can also be opened, or closed, easily with summer or winter gloves via a short-travel lever located at the top. The Arai logo duct is designed to detach on impact for improved removal capability.
• Internal ventilation shutter on the chin (bar): if the internal and external shutter are both open, air will be directed towards your mouth. If the outer shutter is open and the inner shutter is closed, air will be directed towards your visor and help reduce haze.
• Three-position chin vent: the three-position chin vent helps to remove fog from the visor and provides fresh, cool air to the rider.
• Central top vent: Keeping the height low while improving airflow. The top vent has three positions: closed, half-open and fully open to regulate airflow and prevent water ingress when fully closed.
• Neck ventilation.
• Side extraction: Produce low pressure behind the rear vent for better hot air extraction.

AERODYNAMICS

• One-piece rear spoiler with diffused function: With 3-way switch, located just forward of the shell and powered by 3 ports in the shell. As part of Quantic's integrated ventilation system, it efficiently pumps air, but also smoothes the airflow over (and out the side of) the helmet.
• Rear air duct: The central support of the upper-rear air-flow duct also functions as a goggle strap locator. The diffusers can be removed or replaced quickly and easily by removing a single screw on the central rear duct support.
• Retractable Folding Chin Spoiler: the retractable folding Chin Spoiler reduces air intake at the bottom of the helmet and helps extract hot and moist air around the chiseled front edges of the protectors.

VISOR

• VAS-A Max Vision Shield: the new VAS-A Max Vision Shield maintains the wide field of vision and high level of visibility expected from a Tour-X5 model. The Pinlock insert for this model has been developed to effectively resist blurring, even in extreme conditions, across the entire field of view.
• Included Pinlock: effectively prevents blur and visor blur.

COMFORT

• Emergency Release System (ERS):By pulling the orange tabs built into the pads, the cheek pads slide out.
• Wider base by 10 mm:The exclusive shell widens by 5 mm on each side for a total of 10 mm around the base, making it easier to put on and remove the helmet.
• Neckroll strap pocket: for storing excess length of cable in the neckroll.
• Intercom socket: Designed for easy installation and connection of a communication system on the outside of the shell.
